Alaffia Health Appoints Abbas Golestani as Head of Artificial Intelligence

New York, NY – Alaffia Health today announced the appointment of Abbas Golestani as Head of Artificial Intelligence. Abbas will lead the company's AI strategy and research efforts as Alaffia continues to advance agentic AI solutions purpose-built for health plan operations.

Abbas brings over 20 years of experience in machine learning, natural language processing, and applied AI research. Most notably, he served as a Research Scientist at Meta, where he contributed to the post-training and fine-tuning of Meta's flagship LLaMA models. Prior to Meta, Abbas spent several years at IBM, where he led teams developing and deploying enterprise AI solutions at scale. More recently, he served as Head of AI at C the Signs, applying his expertise to AI-powered early cancer detection.
